Eligibility

Beers brewed in commercial facilities are ineligible.

Entrant must be of the age of 21 or older

Beers must be entered under the name of the brewer.

Entries will be accepted Monday Aug. 15th through *Saturday Sept. 4th. 2010

*Some locations may have an earlier drop off deadline.

Walk-in entries No longer allowed.

$6 per entry (Payments must be included with your entries either by check or Paypal-Coming soon). Payable to: Schooner

All 2008 BJCP categories of Beer, Mead, Cider will be accepted http://www.bjcp.org/2008styles/catdex.php

No limit on number of entries per brewer other than - only 1 entry per sub category.

Example: Only 1 entry each of 2a, 2b and 2c are acceptable(3 entries).

Disclosure of special Ingredients are required if categorized as 6D, 16E, 17F 20, 21, 22B, 23, 25C, 27E, 28B, 28D

The competition committee reserves the right to combine categories based on number of entries. All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged according to the style they were originally entered in.

Bottles must be free of labels or other easily identified marks. Re-used Commercial bottles with embossed logos are allowed.

Entries entered by the staff or volunteers of the Schooner competition MUST be entered as a plain 12oz. brown bottle. With no distinguishable marks at all.

Two (2) 8-16 oz. bottles are required for each entry. Personalized Printed crown caps must be blacked-out with a permanent marker to assure anonymity of all entries.

One (1) entry form must be filled out and submitted for EACH Entrant.

A Bottle ID Form must be attached to each bottle with a rubber band. No tape, please!

Failure to submit entries properly will NOT exclude them from being judged or evaluated. However, it may no longer be eligible for Schooner prizes.

All entries(bottles) become the property of the Schooner. Entries will not be returned for any reason.

To be eligible for our Grand Prize, you must be able to provide the recipe for the winning beer.

Winning Beer recipe will only be used for the purpose of brewing the grand prize beer through Rock Bottom Brewery. This beer will also be eligible (but not guaranteed) to be entered into the Pro-Am.
